Ian Joness career in bomb disposal spanned thirty-five years. As a major in the British Army he served as CO for all bomb disposal personnel in Northern Ireland. After retirement, Ian served as an Explosives Officer for the Metropolitan Police. Ian was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 1993.
