Winner 2020 GOLD Readers' Favorite (book), 2021 GOLD Readers' Favorite (Audiobook), 2020 Parents' Choice SILVER Award (Audiobook), Winner of 2019 B.R.A.G. Medallion. "An Undeniably Fun, Tail Wagging Romp! A Must Read!" (BookLife Prize).

Carnegie, a pampered Borzoi wolfhound, comes of age in a misguided, daring, and delightful journey to find her royal home and become a famous wolf hunter. Will fame and royalty or love and loyalty win out?

Disney and DreamWorks voice talent, Stephen Kearin, brilliantly narrates and performs all 36 characters in this novel's award-winning audiobook.

Gracie, a snobby royal Borzoi wolfhound show dog, expects her noble puppies to follow in her pawprints of being a pampered princess. Daughter Carnegie has inherited Gracie's aristocratic attitude and assumes she'll be pick of the litter. When the coveted title goes to her humble but perfect sister, Madison, she is resentful and scoffs at being a silly show dog.

Carnegie sets her sights on becoming a famous "woof hunter" and living as royalty in a palace like her ancestors. The only tiny problem is how to get from her home in New York, all the way to that palace, especially when she really doesn't have a clue where it is.

Madison is torn by loyalty to her owner--who expects her to carry on their kennel's legacy of Grand Champion show dogs--to Anastasia, the young girl who holds her heart--and to her scheming sister, Carnegie, who needs her to carry out her royalty-obsessed plans.

The illustration of Carnegie on the cover and the main character illustrations are by Chanel "Dezzoi" Scott.

Autorenporträt
J. G. EASTMAN loves dogs. Not those snarly, jump-up-and-bite-you-on-the-elbow sort-but most. She adores dog stories-but can't bear the nobody-wants-the-dog scenes that must be endured before the happy ending. She also had captivating stories to tell, so she wrote "Long Nose Legacy" and "Long Nose Legacy II," fictional novels (without the unbearable scenes) about the good sort of dogs and the people who cherish them. She is a award-winning author, designer, art director, media and theatre producer, member of the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators, the Dog Writers Association of America, and the Independent Book Publishers Association. She lives on the California coast with her husband and their two show Borzoi, who are related to Madison who inspired her books.
