Sharon Swearengen (1942-2024) was born an only child on the south side of Chicago in the middle of World War II. She came of age during America's cultural awakening of the 50's and 60's and was a rabid Elvis Presley fan. After graduating with Honors from Kelly High School she'd have long careers at Wurlitzer and Swift.

Sharon moved to Arizona in 1986, and later found success as a romance writer for Harlequin. Her first title, Love For Sale, was published in 1997 under the pseudonym Sharon Stewart. She would publish six more--Cowboys and Cradles, Husband in Harmony, Husbands, Husbands... Everywhere!, Home-Grown Husband, Her Necessary Husband and Four-Karat Fiancée--credited to Sharon Swan. Sharon also contributed to the Harlequin short story collection, Romancing The Holidays, and her work has been translated in several languages. Her last book, On Office Life With Amelia, is a series of essays on the working world, self-published through Amazon in 2021.
