Duilio Chiarle is the italian author of this japanese poetry book (Haiku is a form of poetry). These are traditional japanese Haiku: Haiku are poem and consists of three lines, with the first and last line having 5 moras, and the middle line having 7. A mora is a sound unit, much like a syllable, but is not identical to it. Since the moras do not translate well into English, it has been adapted and syllables are used as moras.

Gli sono stati attribuiti i premi internazionali "Jean Monnet" (patrocinato dalla Presidenza della Repubblica Italiana, dall'Università di Genova e dalle Ambasciate di Francia e Germania) e "Carrara - Hallstahammar" (quest'ultimo per due volte consecutive).
Con il gruppo musicale "The Wimshurst's Machine" ha ricevuto tre nomination hollywoodiane consecutive: sono suoi i racconti dei "concept" musicali.
Ha ricevuto l'onorificenza di "Ufficiale" dell'Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana.
