Autorenporträt

Dil Kumar Rai is from Damzhagsa Village, Tading Gewog, Samtse District, in southern Bhutan. He is a poet, painter, and author who has lived an independent and hardworking life from a young age. To support his studies and daily life, he sometimes paints houses, sometimes drives a local taxi in his village, and sometimes carries seasonal fruits, like oranges in winter. During short vacations, he takes every opportunity that comes his way to support himself financially while pursuing his education.

He is currently studying General Nursing and Midwifery at the Faculty of Nursing and Public Health in Thimphu. Dil made his literary debut with Whispers in the Starlight in 2024, which was a work that touched the hearts of many readers with its raw emotions. Now, with his second book, Love Me One More Night, he explores the deeper complexities of love, trust, and betrayal in modern relationships. Through his words, Dil captures life as it issimple, real, and deeply human.
