This book focuses on the tribology of marine sliding bearings. Dr. MA Xuan is an Associate Professor of College of Power and Energy Engineering at Harbin Engineering University. He has obtained his bachelor degree and Ph.D. degree from Harbin Engineering University. He has been working in Harbin Engineering University since 2018. His interested research areas include the tribology modelling of piston component for marine engine, low friction design, and wear mechanism of internal combustion engines. In these fields, he has presided over more than 10 research projects. He has published more than 30 papers on international engineering journals such as Tribology International, International Journal of Engine Research and Engineering Failure Analysis.
Dr. Xiujiang Shi is associate professor and doctoral supervisor at Harbin Engineering University. His main research direction is tribology of Marine power plants. He has presided over more than 20 scientific research projects and helped enterprises and research institutes solve multiple friction dynamics problems. One first prize for scientific and technological progress of the China Shipbuilding Society was won, over 50 papers were published, and more than 30 invention patents were authorized or granted. He serves as a young editorial board member of the Journal of Aeronautical Power, a visiting professor for international journals, and an expert reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He has also been selected into the "Leading Goose" team of Heilongjiang Province and a high-level talent of Heilongjiang Province.
Dr. Xiqun Lu received his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Marine Engineering from Harbin Engineering University, Heilongjiang, China, in 2005 and 2013, respectively. Since 2019, Dr. Xiqun Lu has been in School of Power and Energy Engineering, Harbin Engineering University as a Professor. In the past five years, Dr. Xiqun Lu has been involved in 2 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China as a major participant. Dr. Xiqun Lu has obtained over ten invention patents and has been awarded the Second Prize for National Science and Technology Progress, the First Prize for Marine Engineering Science and Technology. Additionally, Dr. Xiqun Lu has published over 50 high-quality academic journal papers and presented papers at international conferences.
Dr. Zhijun Shuai received his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Marine Engineering from Harbin Engineering University, Heilongjiang, China, in 2006 and 2013, respectively, and he is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Power and Energy Engineering, Harbin Engineering University. He currently serves as the director of the Institute of Vibration and Noise Control. Dr. Shuai has demonstrated a long-term commitment to researching vibration and noise reduction, load identification, structural dynamics optimization, and vibration fault diagnosis of ship electromechanical equipment. In addition, he leads more than 30 national and provincial scientific research projects. The technological achievements have been applied to enterprises such as Shenyang Blower Group and Tianjin Pump Machinery, and have been awarded the titles of "Shen Gu Scientist" and "Tian Pump Scholar".
Dr. Wanyou Li received his M.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Marine Engineering from Harbin Engineering University, Heilongjiang, China, in 1998 and 2002, respectively. Dr. Wanyou Li worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the State Key Laboratory of Vibration, Impact and Noise, Shanghai Jiao Tong University from November 2002 to March 2005. Since 2005, Dr. Wanyou Li has been teaching at School of Power and Energy Engineering, Harbin Engineering University. Dr. Wanyou Li has been honored with several awards and has completed numerous national and provincial-level basic research, and consulting projects, contributing to solving various technical challenges for enterprises. Dr. Wanyou Li has also obtained nearly thirty patents, and many of his papers have been indexed by SCI/EI. Dr. Wanyou Li is a member of the Machinery Vibration Group of the China Shipbuilding Engineering Society and serves as Deputy Director of the High-Power Diesel Engine Branch.
