Comparative law is one of the indispensable sciences for the jurist to form his legal mentality. Comparative religion is one of the sciences considered in religious colleges to enlighten the minds of students and researchers to understand different points of view, and to strengthen the spirit of fairness and tolerance regarding the opinions and beliefs of others. This book brought together curiosities about Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, and Shintoism, a summary of two books by Professor William Patton, and then other chapters about the three Semitic religions - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. The author chose to have each of these three religions speak about itself through one of his scholars. The book did not address innate pagan religions. Not because it is not worthy of study, as a group of scholars of this era have been able to study it, but because the scope of such a brief book prevents us from simplifying the complex doctrines that have taken different positions in many parts of the world.
