Autorenporträt
Born in Colombia and raised in the United States, Juliet Cody built a career as a teacher and mother before losing her vision. Refusing to be defined by blindness, she mastered mobility, Braille, and independent living, becoming a leader in the blind community. She has served on the state board of the National Federation of the Blind, founded local chapters, taught at the Colorado Center for the Blind, and currently leads the San Diego Guide Dogs for the Blind Chapter. Supported by twenty-seven scholarships, she earned both her BA and MA in Literature and Writing. Juliet now travels the country with her guide dog, Marly, alongside her best friend, Shawn, and his guide dog, Aerie-advocating for inclusion and challenging conventions wherever she goes.
