Driven to the brink of insanity, Raymond starts writing letters to Millie. Meanwhile, Stilton's enemies bring big city crime to Raleigh. A plane crash, a dry cleaner's sudden wealth, and contract killings have only one thing in common, a lawyer named Stilton. Three lifelong friends unite to stop the crime wave, and save Raymond from violence and booze. He turns his letters to Millie over to a friend for safe-keeping, and we see how writing saved a man from madness. Letters to Millie is about real life, but it is a love story after all.
