Darryl Brashier has been writing almost his whole life. His grandmother Edith set the stage with her formal speech from her years as a teacher in a one-room school on the Kansas prairie. His mother, Mildred, continued with poems and, horror of horrors, puns

. For most of the time, he has been a writer of first chapters, scenes, ideas, and images, and the non-fictional world of websites and troubleshooting guides.
