Autorenporträt
James A. Blessing wurde 1956 in Stuttgart als Sohn einer deutschen Mutter und eines US-Piloten geboren. Vor dem Abitur absolvierte er zunächst eine Lehre als Einzelhandelskaufmann. 1975 lernte er seinen heutigen Ehepartner kennen, der zu der Zeit noch Medizinstudent war. Er übernahm später die kaufmännischen Belange von dessen Arztpraxis. Zuvor war er Redakteur einer Verbraucherzeitung mit einer Auflage von 350.000 Stück und zudem Mitarbeiter bei lokalen Zeitungen desselben Verlages. Das Schreiben faszinierte ihn von Kindesbeinen an. Bereits in der Grundschule entwarf er selbst Kurzgeschichten und Gedichte. Darüber hinaus hat er 2015 und 2018 zwei Romane verfasst. Wenn er in seiner Freizeit mal nicht dem Lesen-/Schreiben-Hobby frönt, geht er anderen künstlerischen Tätigkeiten nach wie etwa Malen oder kreativem Gestalten.
