Laura Winkiel is associate professor of English and affiliate faculty in the Department of Women's and Gender Studies and the Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder. A past president of the Modernist Studies Association, she is the author of Modernism: The Basics (2017) and Modernism, Race, and Manifestos (2008), as well as a coeditor of Geomodernisms: Race, Modernism, Modernity (2005).
