Our Universe is parallel to what Earthlings think is their universe. Some Earthling scientists speculate we might be here, but we keep our existence discreet. The last thing we need is sentient beings on a planet intent on blowing everything up, inviting us to drop by for a chat.

In our parallel universe, we prevent Earth from knowing of our existence. Why take the risk? There's nothing they can teach us. Our science has discovered everything we want to know except how to stay out of debt. And earthlings don't know anything about that.

Zeus, an insurance Sales-canine, abducted an earthling. Our AI has enhanced plant and animal life with human attributes.

This Earthling's journal was and continues to be recorded through his translator plug, an ingenious device implanted in his ear that records and translates all pertinent, present-tense experiences our abducted alien has, as long as he manages to survive. If our abducted alien doesn't survive, we'll have to get a new one.

Jack van Brunschot decided to write a humorous sci-fi fantasy featuring animals, non-human characters, and an earthling who is abducted and transported to a parallel universe where familiar things are in all the wrong places. In doing so, Jack's time and imagination have also been relocated to this parallel universe. This is volume one. Jack has not returned but remains somewhere in volume three. Whether he will ever find his way back to reality on Earth remains to be seen. Perhaps his past experiences as a musician, an improv comedy performer, or a handyman will aid him in navigating his way home. Of course, this will depend on whether he wishes to return. No postcards have been received; only this volume one, aptly titled My Alien Abduction.
