The glowing structure at the bottom of a lonely northern lake is not of this Earth. But Michael Hart can't stay away. His encounter will leave him utterly changed, with astonishing new abilities and a destiny he could never have imagined.
From then on, the choices he makes will affect the very future of humanity, and Michael will either become a hero, or the greatest traitor the world has ever known.
Because he is no longer alone, not even in his own body.
There is another.

Autorenporträt
A radio broadcaster for more than thirty years, Scott Overton described that world in his first novel, the mystery/thriller Dead Air, published by Scrivener Press. Dead Air was shortlisted for a Northern Lit Award in Ontario, Canada. But the rest of his writing is science fiction and fantasy, including his 2020 science fiction/thriller The Primus Labyrinth. His short fiction has been published in numerous magazines and anthologies, many of those stories brought together in his BEYOND collections. Now a freelance author and voice talent, Scott works from his home on a lake in Northern Ontario. His distractions from writing include scuba diving and a vintage sports car. You can learn more and read free stories at Scott's website www.scottoverton.ca .
