Autorenporträt
Robert Ransauer wurde 1962 in Wien geboren. Ohne entsprechende schulische Ausbildung gelang es ihm, ab den 1970er-Jahren in der Finanzdienstleistungsbranche Fuß zu fassen und Karriere zu machen. In den letzten Jahren seiner beruflichen Laufbahn übte er die Funktion eines Unternehmensleiters aus. Zum Schreiben von Büchern kam er damals nicht. Sein erstes Werk entstand aus seiner Faszination für die hohen Berge dieser Welt, insbesondere für jene des Himalaya. Über diese Bergwelt hat er unzählige Bücher gelesen. Der vierfache Familienvater lebt mit seiner Familie in der Nähe von Wien.
