Ángel Ruiz Cediel (Madrid, 1955) es uno de los más prolíficos autores de la literatura actual española, y tal vez el autor más completo en cuanto a la variedad estilística y a la profundidad de su obra. Finalista de los Premios La Rama Dorada 1986, Azorín de Novela 1996, Planeta 1999, Fernando Lara 2002, Ateneo de Sevilla 2002 y Planeta 2008 entre otros, es autor de numerosas novelas que abarcan casi todos los géneros literarios, aunque todas ellas con un denominador común: no son obras concebidas solo como entretenimiento, sino que se adentran en las profundiades de la condición humana y su sociedad, con el fin de reflexionar en cada una de ellas sobre un aspecto trascendente que enriquezca nuestra existencia.
