Born December 20, 1958, in Studio City, Los Angeles, Steve Sailer is an American writer and blogger focusing on culture, politics, and human biodiversity. Adopted and raised by a Lockheed engineer's family, he earned a BA in economics, history, and management from Rice University (1980) and an MBA from UCLA (1982) before working in market research. He began writing for publications such as National Review and The American Conservative in the 1990s, later becoming a columnist for Taki's Magazine and VDARE. His book Noticing: An Essential Reader (1973-2023) is a collection of essays spanning his career, covering topics like immigration and social trends.
