On The Wings Of Twilight is a collection of poems that mostly nature has inspired, as only it, in its infinite beauty, can do. Then there is the human side that is always available to draw thoughts that wind up on the paper. I can only hope that a line or phrase, perhaps a whole poem, can climb into the reader's thoughts and place a calmness upon them or take them to a place they can relate to in their own lives.

Autorenporträt
Having graduated with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Elementary Education from Indiana University, I learned early on that communication was one of the most important skills that I could nurture as a teacher. As an instructor and Senior Tactical Officer at the Indiana Military Academy leading officer cadets to their commissions, I observed further proof of the absolute necessity of communication skills at the highest level. It has always been a personal goal of mine to communicate not only the technical aspects of what I wanted to say but also the intimate feelings I possessed for a particular subject. I was born and raised in the small town of Mitchell, Indiana but have spent considerable time abroad and benefited from associations with many different people. After receiving my discharge from the military, I spent nearly thirty years teaching elementary students, which was one of the joys of my life. I have two grown daughters (Michelle and London) who have contributed to thoughts on many occasions that led to my writing. I also have eight granddogs and five grandcats, along with various other critters in the woods near my house, that I dearly love, and love to write about.
