The OpEx-Method is a holistic approach designed to support IT organizations in their transformation. Leaders are often faced with the challenge of adapting to new conditions, whether due to technological developments, changing market conditions, or organizational requirements. In such times, they frequently feel left on their own and overwhelmed, as they are confronted with a multitude of issues that must be addressed simultaneously. The OpEx-Method was developed to counteract this problem. It consists of eight modules, including Historically Grown, Vision and Strategy, Organization, Services, Processes, Tools and Architecture, Leadership, and Project Management. Each module is self-contained and delivers concrete results, which can, however, also be reused across the other modules. What makes the OpEx-Method distinctive is its practice-oriented approach. All results, artifacts, and methods are designed to support leaders in their daily work and to provide them with practical tools to successfully master the challenges of transformation. This methodology was not developed purely in theory, but has been tested and successfully applied multiple times in practice. Moreover, the OpEx-Method is not limited to IT organizations. Parts of it have already been successfully applied in other functional areas, such as Facility Management and Human Resources. This underscores the versatility and adaptability of the method, which helps organizations across different industries achieve their goals and grow successfully.
