He is an Officer in the Dutch Order of Oranje- Nassau, and an Honorary Member of the ECVO. Michael H. Boevé, DVM, PhD, Dip. ECVO, was appointed Diplomate of the ECVO in 1993. In 2020 he retired as an Associate Professor of Veterinary Ophthalmology from Utrecht University. At present (2025), he remains active as a Visiting Professor of Ophthalmology at Hannover University of Veteri-nary Medicine and as a clinician at Medisch Centrum voor Dieren, a specialist referral clinic in Amsterdam.
