Autorenporträt
Lou Anne Smoot is a writer, speaker, and LGBTQ advocate, with a Master's degree in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. She has continued her postgraduate studies at Texas Tech and Texas State University. She travels all over the continental United States, sharing her story and experiences with others as a guest speaker. Her story has been broadcast on CSPAN2 (#445082-1) as well as on Texas Standard radio on June 25, 2018. The previous edition of her memoir was selected as one of the top 44 non-fiction lesbian books of all time by Around the World magazine. She has authored four other books in her time and continues her work as an advocate in East Texas, where she lives happily with her wife, Brenda.
