Khutso Swafo, 36, is the founder of the NPO ParksandRead and the self-published author of "Palesa, Flower of the Forest." A devoted book lover and advocate for children, she has channeled her passion into creating a space where she can share her love for reading and storytelling. Khutso is drawn to the uncoated, off-white or cream-colored paper found in books. She believes that every day presents itself with an opportunity to share a story or read a book with friends and family.

She holds a Diploma in Public Finance and Accounting and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration, a Degree in Communication and an Honours Degree in Integrated Organisational.

Through her book club formed at her workplace she was able to host several authors for enriching discussions: Bhekisisa Mncube, author of The Love Diary of a Zulu Boy. Kabelo Chabalala, for his books A Journey from Boyhood to Manhood and A Woman. Malphia Safetybelt Honwane, for his works Dry Tears and Beyond the Beard. Dude Busani and Angela Makholwa Moabelo, co-authors of Black Tax.
