Italy, summer 1943. After the Anglo-American landing in Sicily, the German troops have fortified their positions on the Italian peninsula in view of a possible defection of their Allie.
Marco, a joint man from Castelvecchio, afraid he would be so called to arms and several students from the university of Pisa , secretly listen to Radio London, to keep track of war events.

Autorenporträt

Giancarlo Gabbrielli was born in Florence, Italy. He lived in a town located near the Arno River and frequented the Technical Institute of Pisa. He followed with a military experience in the Italian Air Force, both in Italy and in the United States, where he completed courses with Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles. He then left the Air Force and emigrated to Canada achieving success in business. At the same time, he contributed newspaper articles and won prizes from the Leonardo da Vinci association. He also published socio-political articles and essays before starting to right books starting from the historical-autobiographical 'Lanzi's Saga' (six volumes). He also wrote 3 novels and 3 short story books. "Partisans: Choice or Fatality?" Is his 13th book and one of the author favorite, as it depicts his views on war and politics.
