Mike Van Waes began his career as an assistant at The Jim Henson Company before working in the story department at DreamWorks, then Paramount Vantage, and most recently Paramount Pictures. He is the writer and artist behind webcomic: VexedWisecracker.com

His feature GRAVE HEARTS was a 2014 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting finalist. His feature THE SHIVERS was a 2014 Tracking Board Launch Pad finalist. His most recent spec script, HAMMERSPACE, was just bought by Warner Bros with Dan Lin producing.
