Jonathan was born and educated in the south of England, but has spent most of his adult life living and working abroad, mostly in Catalonia, in the north east of Spain.While working as an English language teacher Jonathan had two short stories broadcast by the BBC World Service, and he also wrote a number of song lyrics, both for The Cambridge English Course, and for an album called 'Stay' published by Sony records.He is also the author of a historical novel for adults (pending publication)A keen environmentalist, Jonathan was co-founder of a not-for-profit association called Green Standard Schools which aims to encourage language schools everywhere to adopt more sustainable policies and practices.While still working in the language teaching industry, Jonathan has also recently started an MSc in Sustainable Development at the University of Sussex.
