Autorenporträt
About the author Christy J Talbott holds baccalaureate degrees in Religion and Music history/theory from Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, and in Education from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. She earned her Master's degree in Music theory at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida and her PhD at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Currently, she is a Music Theory professor for the Resch Institute of Music at the University of Green Bay in Green Bay, Wisconsin. While a teaching assistant at both USF and OSU, Talbott was named instructor of record in addition to other courses where she, in more common practice for assistants, was assigned a supervisor. Prior to arriving in Wisconsin, she taught for many years at the elementary through high school level and taught at the college level for Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, and for Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Her first book, "Survey of Western Music," is an Open Resource Book published by Pressbooks Publishers.
