Produktbeschreibung
A gothic reimagining of one of Slavic mythology's most haunting legends-told through lyrical, aching, and spellbound poetry.

In traditional folklore, Koschie the Deathless is a figure of pure terror: skeletal, cursed, and incapable of love. But myths are never as simple as they seem. In Poems from the Legend of Koschie and Marya Morevna, this ancient tale is transformed into a dark emotional journey-one that ventures deep into longing, ruin, and the shadows of the deathless heart.

This collection invites readers into a world where love becomes a wound, immortality becomes decay, and the villain forgotten by time speaks at last in his own voice. Through atmospheric verse and gothic imagery, the poems unravel the emotional silences left by the original myth, revealing a Koschie who is not redeemed, but profoundly human in his grief, hunger, and impossible desire.

At the center stands Marya Morevna-fierce, radiant, and unyielding. Her presence is the flame that both guides and destroys. Their story is not told as hero against monster, but as two spirits bound by fate yet severed by pain, power, and the unbridgeable distance between life and the deathless.

Each poem opens a new corridor in this reimagined myth: - castles that breathe like wounded bodies, - shadows that ache with memory, - battles carved in sorrow rather than glory, - and love twisted into something both beautiful and terrifying.

What emerges is a tapestry of darkness and tenderness, of longing that survives centuries, and of a myth retold from the edges where heartbreak and folklore meet.

Haunting, lyrical, and immersive, Poems from the Legend of Koschie and Marya Morevna is perfect for readers who love: ✓ Gothic poetry ✓ Mythology retellings ✓ Dark romanticism ✓ Atmospheric, character-driven verse ✓ Stories of doomed love and cursed immortality

Step into a world where legends bleed, shadows speak, and even the deathless can suffer for love.
