Who enjoys reading poetry? This book, Poetry by Design, is a collection of different types of poems about a variety of topics hoping to inspire the reader. From childhood through to adulthood, the book examines the meaning of relationships, life, love and the environment.

What's the point? With each poem there lies an underlying meaning for the reader to interpret. For example, the poem 'An Unknown Friend' was originally published as a teenager in the 1990 "Windows on the World" National Library of Poetry book. This poem is about relationships.

A collection of the poems represent the journey that the author has lived through. The author was born in Illinois but grew up in a rural Wisconsin town. She later relocated to Florida during her teenage years. The author is a real nurse, currently residing in the state of Florida. She enjoys traveling, exploring, hiking, writing, reading, shopping, swimming, boating, and crafting.
