Autorenporträt
MARILYN LAWRENCE is an associate member of the British Psychoanalytical Society, working at the Tavistock Clinic, London, and in private practice. Her published works include The Anorexic Experience, Fed Up and Hungry, and, with Mira Dana, Women's Secret Disorder and Fighting Food.

MARIE MAGUIRE is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice who teaches at the Guild of Psychotherapists and other psychotherapy training organisations. Previously she worked in community mental health projects and at the Women's Therapy Centre, London. She is the editor of Living with the Sphinx (with Sheila Ernst) and the author of Men, Women, Passion and Power: Gender Issues in Psychotherapy.
