Soldiers, thugs, random individuals, initially raided Zel-Ol-Soltan's large house on Ekbatan Street and searched the rooms one by one, taking whatever they found, like ants. They loaded cushions, carpets, sofas and more on donkeys' backs and carried them off for themselves. From jugs to bowls, plates and trays, basins and mirrors, candlesticks and lanterns and morenothing, small or large, was spared from the thieves' hands. One person had even picked up a broken piano, tied it on a donkey's back, and was happily carrying it toward his dreams. The result of the bloodshed was over 250 killed and hundreds wounded− disorder, mourning, chaos, and looting. Looters attacked houses in the surrounding area from all directions. Although they were supposed to wash and clean everything overnight, it seemed they had refused to carry out this order. Whether from fear of the looters' night raids or whatever the reason, on the second day after the bombardment of the Assembly, everything was still in chaos.
