This is my most recent book of aphorisms. This one is more calm and humorous than my other books of aphorisms. The older I get, the less I feel burdened by my own ideas. There are still many topical things going on in this book, but whatever I had to prove to the world and myself has been proven. (Proved?) Anymore, I'm write books as time capsules to myself. This is where I was late 2019/early 2020. For years I had the idea of naming a book Rankle the Great. As a philosopher, it seems like my purpose is to literally rankle the great minds of now and then. Get under people's skin and influence them to think otherwise...as long as it's better. Then, the title sounds like Rankle, the Great...as if Rankle is a person that is a fictional emperor or whatever. This one is relatively short. I set out to fill a small notebook...and just leave it at that. Many of the poignant-yet-negative things that I thought of writing, I opted not to. There were many entries I didn't put in the typed-up version. There's so much negativity in life anymore and it's dumb to ignore it...but it also seems to swallow me up, intellectually speaking. I feel like I could rant about all the bullcrap life has to offer for the rest of my existence. Rankle the Great is less idealistic and more ideological...if that makes sense.

Autorenporträt
I am a philosopher.
Nonfiction, fiction, and even some poems.
Zachariah Bennet Douglas is my pen name.
My real name is Jim Harper.
I don't really know how to describe my writing style.
At this point, my books are only digital.

Smashwords doesn't allow rearranging of uploaded material and, of course, I uploaded my books in a shuffled manner. Reading them in the uploaded order would be a good journey, tho. The proper order of my books goes (newest to oldest):

7. This is a Trap Door book 2 - 2019
