Betty Ayala Falvey is a Bolivian American educator, poet, and songwriter. In Bolivia, she performed concerts and recorded her album "Singing Poetry." In 1978, she was honored and featured on the cover of the national magazine "Vision Boliviana" for her innovative style that fused music and poetry. Betty earned a full scholarship to study in North Carolina where she received her B.A and M.A in music and Spanish literature. She has taught in North Carolina for 30 years where she earned multiple awards. In 2023, she received first place in the "Sing America Sing" Poetic Competition. Betty lives in Durham, NC, with her husband, William.Betty Ayala Falvey es una educadora, poeta, y cantautora boliviana-americana. En Bolivia, grabó su disco "Poesía Cantada." Fue retratada en la portada de la revista nacional "Visión Boliviana" en 1978. Fue valorada por su estilo único e innovativo que fusiona la música y la poesía. Betty obtuvo una beca de estudios en Carolina del Norte, recibió títulos de licenciatura y maestría en música y Literatura Española.
