Dr. Michael Lawson comes from a long line of substance abuse and other addictive behaviors. At 13, he lost his grandfather to addiction, and at 15, he lost his father to an overdose. After the loss of a child at 20, Michael turned to the only thing he knew, alcohol. On October 3, 2011, after years of "work hard, play hard," God redeemed Michael and began using him for a greater purpose. In the 13-plus years since, Michael has earned a PhD in Christian Counseling and has taught recovery ministry around the globe.
