"The Story of a Former Boxer" is a gripping social drama novel that follows the life of Juan, a young Latino shaped by poverty, abandonment, and injustice, who finds in boxing a way out of his harsh reality. Guided by former police officer Rogelio and supported by his mother Malena and adoptive sister Maya, Juan confronts a system that constantly tries to break him. From days of hunger to the roaring applause in the ring, Juan rides an emotional rollercoaster: he triumphs, falls, rises again-but never forgets his roots. In a hostile environment of corruption, racism, and illegal betting, he fights not only for titles but for his dignity and the memory of those who shaped him. But even champions can be forgotten. And the price of truth is often silence. An inspiring story about human strength, family love, and the resilience of those who, despite everything, remain standing.
