A Ginner to his friends yet he will protest that he is a Strawberry Blonde with Blue Eyes. Answers to Jacko, Deano or that Bastard or Git. Dean grew up in Rotherham enjoying school but always wanting to join the Police. Having worked in the Steel Works for a short period of time he undertook a science degree at Liverpool before returning to Sheffield to join South Yorkshire Police.

Dean has now been Police officer for16 years, all front-line, 9 years as a PC and the last seven as a Sergeant. He is currently a Custody Sergeant in Sheffield.

Married to Karen he has still not been paroled having served a life sentence in marriage. Dean and Karen have no children although Karen would describe Dean as the child. They love to spend time walking with the dogs and going on holiday.

This is Deans first Novel and he is currently working on his new one, titled Blue Shadow.
