[Reformation in Saxony and the Empire]
This Festschrift honors Leipzig church historian Armin Kohnle, whose scholarly work has had a significant impact on Reformation research over the past three decades. The volume brings together 24 contributions from colleagues, friends, and students that address the jubilarian's central fields of research - from the territorial dimensions of the Reformation in Saxony to imperial political contexts and cultural effects up to the present day. The collection of essays reflects the thematic breadth and methodological diversity of Kohnle's work and offers new insights into the complex interrelationships between territorial development and church history during the Reformation period.
