Writing has always been my passion. Throughout my life, these stories and poems have given me the chance to express my thoughts and feelings. Some were submitted to publishers, but rejected. Many stayed for years in my desk drawer, collecting dust. I have always believed they were worth reading. Now in retirement, and with Xlibris help, this is my chance to publish. If they are as much fun to read, as they were to write, its a win-win. This book gives my family and friends the chance to read them. In this way they share some of my lifes experiences. Autorenporträt
I was born in 1938 in England. When twenty-four, I married Mary, my best friend and came to America. We have three children, now adults. They have blessed us with seven wonderful grandchildren. We enjoy retirement in our old farmhouse in upstate New York, close to Lake Ontario. I owe a big thank you to my friend Carol and my sixteen year-old granddaughter Krislynn Mae, for their wonderful illustrations. I even drew a few myself. My biggest thanks are to my wife Mary for her unfailing love and support over the fifty years we've been together. Few things in life have given me more satisfaction than writing the stories and poems in this book. I hope they bring enjoyment and laughter to all my readers. Few people are truly great writers, but we all have stories and experiences, which are worth writing about and sharing.
