Autorenporträt
Dr. Pardeep Singh is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Studies, PGDAV College, University of Delhi in New Delhi, India. He obtained his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. He was selected as a Young Scientist by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), India, for the BRICS Young Scientist Conclave held in Durban, South Africa, in 2018. His research interests include waste management, wastewater treatment, water scarcity, and global climate change. He has published more than 85 research papers/book chapters in international journals/books in the field of environmental science and climate change. He has also edited over 70 books with international publishers, including Springer Nature, Elsevier, CRC Press, and Wiley.   Dr. Ravindra Pratap Singh, currently working as Chairman of UP Pollution Control Board, Lucknow, India, also served as  Chief Engineer in the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), Govt. of India; he is an astute leader with over 25 years of experience in the fields of Public Procurement, Project Management, monitoring/implementation of environmental and social safeguards, urban planning, solid waste management, wastewater treatment, etc. Ravindra has a special interest in Sustainable Development, especially in sustainable construction. He has worked with the World Bank on Highway Projects in India and with JICA on a Japanese Govt. grant aid project at Varanasi. As an expert and member of the heritage conservation committee on the river Ganga, he was associated with conserving the river in Varanasi. In addition to his profession, he has a keen interest in academics and published various articles on environmental management and pollution control. He also edited books with international publishers like Springer, Wiley, etc. He graduated in Civil Engineering in 1989 from Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology and his post-graduation in Civil Engineering (specialization in structure engineering) from IIT (BHU) in 1991–1993. He got his PhD from the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.
