Autorenporträt
David Begelman Ph.D. is a practicing clinical psychologist and neuropsychologist with offices in New Milford and Litchfield, Connecticut. He was an undergraduate at Brooklyn College and has advanced degrees in both psychology and philosophy from Yeshiva University and New York University. He has been an associate or contributing editor on the board of three psychology journals, and an original member of the Behavior Therapy and Research Society. He has held a number of consulting positions for mental health agencies, as well as appointments in hospitals, clinics and academia, including one as Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Yale University. He has published extensively in psychology journals, newspapers and magazines. A graduate of the High School of Music and Art in New York City, he studied art under Mark Rothko and acting at The Actor's Workshop with Paul Mann and Lloyd Richards. He has appeared in numerous plays over the past several decades and starred in five Shakespearean lead roles: Shylock, King Lear, Petruchio, Prospero and Theseus/Oberon. He served as a member of the Connecticut Critics Circle, as well as theater critic for the Danbury News-Times and drama and film critic for Citizen News in Connecticut.
