Autorenporträt
Alka Parikh is a Professor of Development Economics at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology. She holds a PhD from Cornell University, USA, and has collaborated extensively with working groups of the Planning Commission for the 11th and 12th Five Year Plans. She is on the board of two NGOs, Utthan and Uplift India, and is also on the governing board of the Centre for Social Studies, Surat. Further, she serves on the advisory committee of the Small Grants Program, United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Throughout her career, Prof Parikh has worked with NGOs, the corporate sector and academic sector to contribute to the field of development studies.
