Autorenporträt

Dr. Mario King holds a Ph.D. from the College of Business and Economic Development at the University of Southern Mississippi, School of Leadership, with a specialization in Human Capital Development. His scholarly work includes his dissertation, Exploring Local Elected Officials' Capacity to Govern, and co-authorship of Opportunities to Address Lung Cancer Disparities Among African Americans. This debut book marks a new chapter in Dr. King's journey as a thought leader and changemaker. A proven and dynamic leader, he has served with distinction in government, holding positions on local, state, national, and international boards and committees. His service and vision were recognized globally when he was named a U.S.-Spain Ambassador during his tenure as Mayor. Beyond his professional and academic achievements, Dr. King's proudest role is as husband and father. He shares life with his wife of 21 years, Natasha Rebecca King, LCSW, and together they are raising four beautiful children who inspire his commitment to leadership, equity, and service.
