Anne Thrower struggled through the chaotic first year as a widow after suddenly losing her beloved husband, Mac, on Thanksgiving Day and then several months later learning her job had been eliminated She had no choice the second year but to forge a new path at the age of sixty. Second-Year Widow, The Path from Grief to Transformation is a collection of memories of how she learned to accept change, including an unexpected spiritual transformation. At times touching and poignant, Anne describes how she grew and transitioned during the grieving process with increasing courage and diminishing guilt. Anne is a former journalist who continues to work in higher education. Her journalism degree is from Louisiana State University, and her education degrees are from Central Michigan University and Northern Arizona University. Her journalism career was primarily as a daily reporter for several papers in the South. She taught in the public schools in Australia and in higher education in Arizona, Kentucky and Florida. Anne is a passionate traveler and continues her spiritual transformation path that began after her husband's death. She resides on a lake in central Florida with her cat, Ponce.
