EN : Welcome to the world of Butcher Billy, a brilliant illustrator specializing in pop culture and mashups. His motto: blend iconic worlds from music, film, and video games to create something both fresh and instantly recognizable. He pairs the Sex Pistols with Super Mario, Ian Curtis with Superman, and turns Billy Idol into Thor, or Ewan McGregor (Trainspotting version) into Aquaman rising from a toilet bowl. This collision of underground yet massively influential universes is nothing short of genius-just like the retro touch that defines his work. His influences span a wide range: from Banksy to Miyamoto, Malcolm McLaren, Crumb, Kirby, Kubrick, and Warhol. He describes himself as a living mashup - born in the '70s, a kid of the '80s, and a teen of the '90s - raised, like many of us, by television and everything that came with it: VHS tapes, video games, and pop icons. That's probably why his work speaks to us so deeply.
