I grew up never knowing my mother. At age forty, I set out across the world to find her. What I discovered in Seoul wasn't what I expected. The journey led to a tangled truth about family, identity, and belonging. This memoir is about what it means to search for someone who has always been missing, and in the process, discover what it means to finally find yourself.

Autorenporträt
LaTisha D. Washington is a risk-taking, Halloween-loving world traveler who found her roots in Marion, South Carolina. She has attempted many adventures, but none quite like her life's mission to find her missing parent. Seoul Ties explores the journey of her life-changing quest in her debut memoir. Aside from being an only child and knowing half of her history, she found other places of belonging and identity. She is a mother of two girls, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and a fierce patient advocate when working with her clients in the medical field. When LaTisha is not planning her next vacation or exploring the next adventure, she spends time with her friends who are more like family.
