In the throne room, they find that King Valerius is no longer human. He has fused with the Sunstone, becoming a being of pure, unstable energy in a ritual to burn all shadow from existence. Realizing she cannot fight this god-like entity, Lyra discovers the final, unexpected truth: her destiny is not to rule, but to heal a fundamental imbalance in the world.

In a final act of sacrifice, she offers her own perfectly balanced soulthe Shadow Flameto the Sunstone. The raw, cosmic power, which was a caged entity, absorbs her essence to complete itself, restoring balance to the world's magic. Lyra vanishes, her sacrifice destroying the tyrant, ending the war, and bringing a true, lasting peace to the world.
