Autorenporträt

Deneen Elise, a Queens, NY native, is a fiction novelist with five published books and a screenwriter. She holds an MPA, an MBA, and a B.S. in Organizational Management. She honed her screenwriting skills under the mentorship of Tressa Azarel Smallwood, CEO of MegaMind Media Films, through the "Access Granted" Film/Screenwriting Session. In 2024, she received her first International Impact Book Award (IMBA) for her novel KWAH in the category of African American Historical Fiction. That same year, she earned a second IMBA for PARKER STEPS in the category of Biographic Historical Fiction. Her dream is to adapt both award-winning novels into cable series. Deneen recently completed her first independent film as Executive Producer: Shattered Silence - Imitation of a Perfect Life, based on her novel Shattered Silence (anticipated release: Fall 2025). The film is directed by Jimmie Lee Ward III of Hereafter Productions and produced by Kelley Smith (aka Kai Jae), with supporting co-screenwriters Frankie Addison Sr. and KEMI. She resides in the Washington, DC area with her husband, professional saxophonist and music composer Frankie Addison. Sr. Together, they manage a 13-piece band - Signature Live!
