This time her induction was taking place in broad daylightshe wasn't on the verge of falling asleep, but fully awake and alert. That made her all the more sensitive to the feeling of being hypnotized, which resembled the drugged haze of anesthesia except that instead of numbness her nerve endings felt alive and on fire. If she'd opened her eyes, the whole world would've been bathed in golden light, just how Aria had described it.
