As children of God, people are watching to see how we hold up under pressure, anxiety, stress, or fear. If we are spiritually prepared when a crisis arises, there will be no need to panic, but simply call on the name of Jesus and He will deliver us from fear. Produktbeschreibung
As children of God, people are watching to see how we hold up under pressure, anxiety, stress, or fear. If we are spiritually prepared when a crisis arises, there will be no need to panic, but simply call on the name of Jesus and He will deliver us from fear. In the Bible, the book of Esther, God's purpose was accomplished through Esther in the times in which she lived. Esther was a Jewish maiden who was eventually chosen to be Queen of Persia. Mordecai, Esther's cousin, urged Esther to take action to save her people and points to her higher purpose: "Who knows whether you have not attained royalty "for such a time as this"? Esther 4:14 Esther's courage came from her faith in God. She stepped up at the right time and saved her people. We may not have as much power and influence as Esther, but God places us where he wants us to be "for such a time as this". Your influence may only be to your family, your neighbors, your co-workers, or your close friends, but we must recognize our purpose and use our influence wherever God assigns us "for such a time as this". This book tells of Joyce's preparation for handling her "such a time as this" storm, when she was thrust into temporary "homelessness" following a car crash into her home. Only God knows our "such a time as this" - whether it's a serious illness, financial difficulties, job loss, loss of loved ones, loss of material things, etc. God has brought Joyce through them all. How are you preparing for your "such a time as this"? Will you be ready? Will you pass the test?

Autorenporträt
Joyce is five years into retirement from a 50-year work career in Corporate America. Previously, Joyce enjoyed a leisurely lifestyle of travels and hanging out with a "few good friends" until becoming caregiver earlier this year for her new great-grandson, Karson. She prefers "caregiver" over babysitter, as it sounds more purposeful. After some mental and emotional adjustments to her new role, she now lovingly embraces her new great grandson with a level of love that she had forgotten existed. "Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him". Psalms 127:3 She is truly thankful that she was not caregiving on the day of the car crash into her home, as the impact of the hit was to the chair where she and baby Karson often sat cuddling, singing and bonding. Joyce enjoys journaling and has finally embraced the title of Author, as this is Joyce's third book of pocket-sized "nuggets" type publications. These writings are intended as a legacy for future generations of family and friends.
