Amina Al-Saigh was born in Iraq, but she has spent most of her life in Canada. She created the popular Middle Eastern food blog Hungry Paprikas to document authentic Middle Eastern recipes from her family. Amina broadened her reach with her cookbook Souk to Table, which was honored with the 2025 Silver Taste Canada Award in the Regional/Cultural Cookbooks category. As an ex-engineer and mother of two, she is passionate about perfectly tested recipes that are approachable and easy for the busy, modern home.
