In my 20's in the early 1980's I became the invisible partner to my much older husband's dream of sailing from Southern California along the coast of Mexico, the Sea of Cortez, and Central America to Panama. I got to speak faulty Spanish and learn the customs of a gracious people in foreign cultures.
